What’s the story here?
You’re may be thinking, I don’t need it to shine that much.
I just need copy to fill up my website so it doesn’t look like some empty shopfront in an abandoned shopping centre of the internet. And so that my audience takes action when they visit it.
But, here’s the thing. People struggle to have the patience to read much these days.
Trust me, it’s my business to know.
Call it whatever you want. Declining attention spans. Technology overload. A harbinger of the end times.
Shine? That’s a weird thing for copy to do.

Words and me?
We go way back
I hold an Undergraduate and a Master’s degrees in English literature, have spent countless hours reading, and I’ve spent even more time writing in all kinds of genres to figure out the best words in the best order, for whatever the circumstance.
Previously I’ve also been a winner of poetry prizes and slam poetry performer, with a unique understanding of the power words have over people on paper and in person.
Aside from general wordy nerdiness, I also have a background in higher education administration, specialising in University student recruitment, admissions and people management. This mean I come equipped with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as a keen understanding of people through years of leadership and recruitment experience.
My skills in these areas have fed wonderfully into my craft as a copywriter, boosting my abilities to write excellent copy in a way that is compelling, clear and confidently personable.

If you decide Orca Ink is the ideal collaborator for your website, I become fully committed to creating the best copy for your business.
Once I have all the information I need from you and we know the direction, I’ll present you with up to three drafts as part of our contract. I want to make completely sure you are 100% happy with the end result.
We’ll agree on a timeline from the beginning so that between each draft you can give me any feedback in a way that suits you. From there, I can improve any areas you feel could use a bit more tweaking.
Once the final version is confirmed, I will then proofread at the last stage, ensuring that your copy is free from any spelling or grammatical errors.

Human-written words for human readers
You may have noticed that there are many types of writing on the internet these days.
My favourite kind — and the way I choose to write and work myself — is the kind that is written from scratch, by a human being.
There are a couple of reasons for this. Most importantly, I genuinely believe that human-written copy reads a whole lot better than any alternatives.
When a talented person writes your copy, you get unique, personable writing representing you and your business in the best light possible. Audiences, in turn, value credible copy that meets them where they are, and that speaks to them with a natural flair.
